Mrs. Kathleen McCarty, Waterford Board of Education Chair, stated that “Mr. Ozmun brings a variety of outstanding experiences, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a proven ability to lead and collaborate with others.”

In announcing the appointment, Superintendent Jerome R. Belair remarked, “Mr. Ozmun served as a classroom teacher for twelve years, a trainer of teachers and administrators, a school principal and central office administrator, all of which have prepared him well to serve as the next Oswegatchie Elementary Principal.  Throughout the search process, Chris demonstrated his considerable expertise in leadership, administration, curriculum development, supervision, instructional practice and developing positive relationships with all stakeholders.”

Mr. Ozmun is thrilled to join the Oswegatchie school community.  He commented, “I am excited to return to the principalship and work closely with teachers and parents to provide the best educational experiences for our students.”  Chris resides in Colchester with his family.
