    Inspiration struck this afternoon as I talked with E period about our Awesome Writing Assignment and then segued into a conversation about this blog.  How great would it be to have a place for all Garnet Team writers to ask questions and share ideas for their writing?  Awesome!  So, here it is - our new writing blog. 
     
    What can you do here?
    - Share a great line you've just written.
    - Ask for help with wording when you're stuck.
    - Ask for reminders on rules you've learned that have gotten a little fuzzy.
    - Ask for advice on a particular piece of your writing.
    - Answer classmates' questions or offer concrete praise or suggestions.  (Concrete means that you should be specific, not just say, "That's great!")
    And anything else that pertains to writing!
     
    This is a great opportunity for us to work as a whole team to learn and grow as writers.  Let's take advantage of all the great opinions and writing styles out there. 
     
    P.S. I will give extra credit for any serious blog posts!

  • Holocaust Unit

    What did you think of the unit we did on the Holocaust?  Which novel(s) did you like best?  Which picture books did you like best?  Did you like the films we watched?  What moved you the most?  What did you like least?  Share your thoughts and comments with each other and me!

    Have you read an incredible book?  This is your opportunity to give a book talk.  Give the title, author's name, and a brief hook to interest your classmates.  Please do NOT summarize or give away any key points or I will not be able to post your comment.  Please proofread your work carefully for spelling, usage, and punctuation.  Extra credit will be awarded for high-quality posts!
